LRSSB manager recognised at awards

Carly Swift, the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board’s Marketing and Communications Manager, has been recognised for her efforts since joining the organisation by winning an award at the Leadership in Passenger Transport Awards.

Carly won in the digital communications category at the ceremony, held at the Indigo at O2, London. Since arriving at the LRSSB in 2023, Carly has led a transformation in the way the LRSSB communicates with its stakeholders, embracing social media channels and e-newsletters.

There has also been the launch of a podcast series, Let’s Talk Light Rail, which has highlighted the work of the LRSSB and its mission to prevent incidents and reduce harm.

Carl Williams, LRSSB Chief Executive, said: “Carly is a well-deserved winner of this award and of the recognition from colleagues across the transport industry. Her innovative use of digital media has brought news of our success to a much broader audience, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress on a series of key projects.”

Carly added: “I’m delighted at receiving this accolade, which came as a complete surprise, and it really reflects the hard work of the LRSSB, which has given us plenty to shout about over the past 12 months.”
