Blackpool Transport start recruitment for new role

The senior management team at Blackpool Transport is set to be boosted further with recruitment have started for a new Head of Projects and Renewals.

The new role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are properly scoped, safely delivered, financially controlled, and aligned with the long-term needs of the business, its customers, employees and shareholder.

It is said to be suited to a confident, commercially aware and delivery-focused individual with strong technical, commercial and organisational skills. They should also have previous experience of project or renewals management.

The salary for the role will be between £60,000 and £80,000.

    More than anything, what would be required is the ability to put the trams back on track: both the Flexities with their bogie issues and the Heritage service. I think if that can be achieved then the person would be well worthy of their hire. As with most things, time will tell.
