The sun doesn’t always shine at the National Tramway Museum in Derbyshire but a little bit of rain doesn’t stop the trams from running! This pictorial article shows one such day when a three tram service was in operation featuring Glasgow 22, Blackpool 40 and Blackpool 167, with two of the trams featured here. Steven Hughes with the images.

No takers for the open balcony of Blackpool 40 as it departs from Town End with a service up to Glory Mine. Blackpool 167 is just seen waiting on the left.

Glasgow 22 is then seen heading away from Town End with its own service up the line. Once again the open balconies don’t seem very popular! (Both Photographs by Steven Hughes, 19th May 2026)
