Luas Engineering Works: 2nd to 4th May 2026

The Luas network in Dublin will be another tram system to be taking advantage of the long May Day Bank Holiday weekend to complete some essential engineering works with the Red line set to be affected.

When? Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May 2026

Tram services on the Red line will run:

  • Heuston to The Point

Replacement buses will run:

Tallaght/Saggart to Heuston

The Green line will not be impacted by these works and will run a normal service on both Saturday 2nd and Monday 4th May 2026.

On Sunday 3rd May the Dublin City Council Half Marathon will be taking place leading to further changes to the service on Luas.

Red Line:

  • From 0700 – buses operate to Heuston only. No tram service from Heuston to The Point
  • From approximately 0945: Trams resume between Heuston to Connolly
  • From 1400: full tram service resumes between Connolly and The Point

Green Line:

  • 0700-0930: no trams between St Stephen’s Green and Dominick. Trams will run Brides Glen to St Stephen’s Green, and Broombridge to Dominick.
