The Tyne and Wear Metro are undertaking a major recruitment drive in their overhead line maintenance team with eleven vacancies currently being advertised. Its all part of their attempts to strengthen their incident response capability and network resilience.
Five overhead line maintainers are being taken on. This role involves inspection, maintenance, repair and renewal works across the network. Other roles available include a charge person, two section supervisors, an assistant engineering manager, a principal Technical Officer and an engineering manager for overhead line.
The jobs are open for applications until 30th April 2026.
