“Picture in Time” time again as we continue a look at trams operating on the South Yorkshire Supertram network.
And this time we go back to 2007 for this image of 108 as it crosses the spectacular Park Square bowstring bridge when working a Yellow route service between Middlewood and Meadowhall. The tram has just called at Fitzalan Square/Ponds Forge and not long after it passes the camera it will go to the right as it takes the Meadowhall route.
At this time the tram was carrying the later white Stagecoach fleet livery which included the deep blue skirt. This livery also pre-dated disability access regulations for the doors being a different colour with the fleet livery just carrying on the length of the tram. Today 108 is in the last Stagecoach livery which is mainly blue – it has never had anything but fleet livery.
