With the first full month of operation for 2026 now at an end – albeit it was weekends only until the very end of the month – the Seaton Tramway’s latest online newsletter has revealed the mileage trams covered. And its shown that there were seven trams in total which were used, including both open toppers and enclosed saloons.
Leading the way during March was 10 which covered 342 miles on the three-mile line between Seaton and Colyton. The newsletter tells us that this equates to 57 trips along the line!
It was another of the “new” open toppers which ran the second most with 11 recording 282 miles. Third place for March was enclosed saloon 16 which covered a total of 240 miles.
6 remains under attention but is approaching the end of its work. As we’ve reported on these very pages previously, the tram has been enjoying a full repaint in a slightly different shade of green and white. It has also received new in-between deck adverts for Jurassic Discovery (a venue also owned by the Seaton Tramway and located alongside Seaton terminus).
