Out and About: Docklands Light Railway – March 2026

A quick “Out and About” on London’s Docklands Light Railway.

With the new B23 trains having been withdrawn not long after their initial introduction in late 2025 following a single overrunning incident, services on the DLR have been solely in the hands of the older units. This includes B90, B92, B2K, B2007 and B2009 units – the first three classes of which will eventually be fully withdrawn once the new units are all into service. Some of the earlier units have already been withdrawn as they reach the end of their operational lives which has also meant short-formed services on various routes. In this shot at Greenwich on the Lewisham route we see B92 85 at the rear of a service to Lewisham. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 24th March 2026)
