We’re into the second week of the 2026 season at the National Tramway Museum in Crich already. Seven passenger trams have seen use so far this year but at the present time are only running as far as Wakebridge whilst there is ongoing work at Glory Mine following Newcastle 102’s issue on the first day of the season. This latest pictorial article features photos from Saturday 21st March 2026 and come from Steven Hughes.
Glasgow 22 is one of the trams which has seen regular use so far in 2026 and it was out again on the second Saturday of the season. This image shows the tram just passing the depot entrance. This is currently the only operating Glasgow tramcar anywhere in the world!
Since Newcastle 102’s fault on the first day, London County Council 106 has been flying the flag for open toppers and was in use here again. It seen just arriving at Wakebridge.
The trio of trams in service was completed by Leeds 399. We see it here returning to depot at the end of another successful day.
Blackpool & Fleetwood 40 is shunted around the depot yard. This tram is due to enter service in 2026 as well.
Croydon Tramlink 058 heads through the depot gates.
The Robert Whetstone model collection was also being demonstrated in the Great Exhibition Hall. This model is of Birmingham Corporation Tramways 50.
