In Pictures: West Midlands Metro 50 gets the beauty treatment

West Midlands Metro 50 has received its very first vinyl wrap advertising livery with it receiving a design for L’Oreal, the latest beauty product which thinks advertising on trams is a good way of spending their money to encourage the people of the UK to spend their hand earnt money on them.

50 entered service for the first time in this new advert on Saturday 21st February 2026 with the tram having been wrapped the previous day. As with most adverts on the network, the fleet livery blue is retained at the ends but the rest of the tram is wrapped, and that does include all windows.

The specific L’Oreal product being publicised by this advert is New Extensionist Mascara. According to Google this is new for 2026 and is a lengthening and curling mascara which is designed to provide a lash extension effect. So now we all know!

With 50 receiving this advert it now means that over the years 12 of the 21 Urbos100 trams have carried adverts.
