Around the World in Trams: Istanbul 813

Another edition of “Around the World in Trams” and we feature the system in Istanbul again.

In this image we see Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin (IBB) 813 on Divanyolo Caddesi having stopped at the Sultanahmet Istasyonu platform on a trip to Cevizlipag.  We can just see that this is a service made up of two articulated units, as seems to be the regular way of working on the city’s tramway.  813 is one of the thirty-seven low floor Alstom Citadis model 304 trams that were ordered in 2007 and put into service during 2011.
