South Yorkshire Supertram have announced that they have become corporate members of Women in Transport, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to advancing gender equality across the transport industry and empowering women to maximise their potential.
Their membership provides staff at Supertram with access to industry events, networking, and professional development opportunities. It reflects Supertram’s ongoing commitment to create a more inclusive, diverse, and supportive workplace, while strengthening links with the wider transport sector.
As well as confirming their membership, Supertram have also proudly shared that Megan Burns, Head of People & Development at the organisation, has been appointed as Regional Lead for the Women in Transport Yorkshire Branch.
In this role, Megan will help manage regional activity, support partnerships across Yorkshire, and champion initiatives that promise inclusion, visibility, and opportunities for women looking for a career in the transport sector.
