NET ticket prices to increase from 6th January 2025

The cost of tickets on Nottingham Express Transit will go up from Monday 6th January 2025 as part of the network’s regular fares review. The increases are said to be in line with inflation and are as a result of growing costs the network faces on a day to day basis. This is the second increase in fares in just over six months with the previous review being in June 2024.

Amongst the fares which will change from 6th January:

  • Adult day ticket – £5.50 (was £5.40)
  • Adult single – £3.40 (was £3.30)

The announcement of the fare increases comes just as NET reveal a January sale with discounts offered on the price of an adult season ticket. The ticket will cost £525 (instead of £725) if purchased through the NETGO! app – the equivalent of just £1.44 per day and meaning anyone taking advantage of the offer would benefit from ten weeks of free daily travel.

Head of Marketing at NET, Alison Sweeney, said: “After a festive season of splurging, lots of savvy spenders look to the January sales to make great savings, so we want to give people the best deal possible and set them up well for the year ahead. It’s no secret that the growing cost of living is challenging for everyone and we want to make sure that more people have access to safe, reliable travel options. If you use the tram to commute, shop or visit friends and family regularly, this is a great opportunity to save hundreds of pounds in 2025, while taking the stress out of travel”.
