Have you ever wanted to volunteer at the Seaton Tramway but not known how to go about it? Well, if you have why not pop along to the new Seaton terminus on Wednesday 2nd October for a special Volunteer Recruitment Day.
Both staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and to let you know exactly what is involved in being a volunteer between 1000 and 1400 on the day and you will also be able to pick up an application form to get the ball rolling.
A number of different roles are open including Meet and Greet duties, tram driving (21 days is the absolute minimum you can commit to and the preference is that you can commit to 1 day a week for the whole season rather than a week at a time), Learning and Activities volunteer and a Marketing and Research volunteer.
As well as helping out the tramway throughout the year volunteers say they get to learn new skills, build their confidence, meet new people and make new friends, keep fit and active and improve their CVs amongst many other benefits.
So, if you are interested pop along to Seaton on Wednesday 2nd October to find out more and you can also see more on what is involved in these roles on the Seaton Tramway website.
