Do you travel regularly on the West Midlands Metro? Well if you do now is the chance to have your say on the future of the service with a new “Metro Matters” forum being created to provide tram users with direct contact with the Metro management team and to give feedback on existing services and new initiatives.
The Metro Matters forum will replace the Midland Metro Passenger Panel and all they are asking people to do is to complete a questionnaire giving a bit of information about themselves – presumably so they can make sure they have representatives from various different users of the system. The questionnaire will also ask respondents to write a short passage about why they would like to join the forum.
Anyone who does apply would need to attend quarterly meetings and occasional special events. The questionnaire can be completed online and should be completed by Sunday 7th April.
Vicki Bennett, West Midlands Metro Customer Services Manager, commented: “The views of people who actually use the tram are vital to our future plans. Their feedback is particularly important as the network expands so we’re now recruiting members for the new ‘Metro Matters’ forum, which is set to replace the existing Midland Metro Passenger Panel. We’re looking for a broad cross section of customers, aged 18 and above, who use the tram to get to work or college, visit the shops, meet up with friends or just explore the region. We really want to have our customers on board as we drive forward with plans to further improve services and, by joining the forum, passengers can help ensure their voice is heard.”
