The long six weeks of the school summer holidays are upon us and if you’re looking for ways to entertain the younger members of the family the Crich Tramway Village will be running a number of fun and fascinating activities during a 12 day Discovery Time.
From Monday 28th July until Friday 8th August, the event will offer a varied programme, which will include how to make electric tram circuits, creating giant bubbles, willow weaving, learning about small animals, meeting characters from history and craft making.
Candi Bell, Event Manager for Crich Tramway Village, said: “Discovery Time is a chance for families to learn about science and history in a fun and engaging way and the event is included for those with return ticket.”
On top of these exciting family activities, all the usual Crich Tramway Village attractions will be on offer. That, of course, includes the vintage tram rides, plus access to the exhibitions, woodland walk and sculpture trail, workshop viewing gallery and tram depots.
Crich is now open daily (until Thursday 4th September) including Fridays as they enter the main summer season, so there is even more chance to visit the museum and see the extensive collection of trams in service and at rest.
