We recently brought you the news that West Midlands Metro had seen another Urbos 100 arrive with 46 being delivered on Wednesday 10th August 2022. And now its been confirmed that the same day saw a second arrival with 47 also having made the trip from Zaragoza in Spain!
Built by CAF in Zaragoza, Spain there are a total of 21 Urbos100s currently on order for use on both the current and expanded West Midlands Metro network. The first eight (38–45) were delivered during 2021 and have all entered service with the remaining 13 due to be delivered by 2023. Of these 13 we have now seen two turn up with 46 and 47 settling into their new home having both arrived on 10th August 2022.
The two trams will now be commissioned before entering service some point later in the year.
