Nottingham Express Transit are looking to make travel affordable for families over the Platinum Jubilee weekend with a special Day Family Ticket being available for £8. Its hoped that with lots of events over the Nottingham area during the weekend many families will take advantage of the convenience of NET to get them to those events with a usual service due to be in operation.
The special £8 Family Ticket allows unlimited travel across NET for a family of up to five people which will allow families to get close to lots of events happening across the region during the four day Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
In addition to this special ticket NET are getting into the spirit of the occasion by announcing that all trams will be receiving the official Queen’s Platinum Jubilee logo. This will be displayed on the front of the trams below the windscreens.
Andrew Conroy of Nottingham Tramlink, operator of NET, said: “We want to do all we can to help celebrate what is going to be a great Jubilee weekend in Nottingham, and our special family ticket will allow families to travel to some fantastic events for just £8. The tram will be running as usual and with lots of road closures happening for street celebrations, the tram offers an affordable, green, quick and easy way to access all the amazing events that are happening in and around the City.”
