Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 270

This latest “Lockdown Walk” takes us to Edinburgh City Centre again.

The first stop after the current terminus at York Place in Edinburgh City Centre is that at St Andrew Square which features an island platform with road traffic passing in both directions. It is also the stop suggested to access Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station although does feature an uphill walk when arriving in the city.

This image shows 270 just pulling away from the stop with a service from York Place to the Airport. The tram is in plain fleet livery and the modern Harvey Nicholls building dominates the background. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 6th April 2020)
