Crich Tramway Village gets a ten from Len!

Crich Tramway Village has featured in a recent episode of the BBC1 daytime television series, Len Goodman’s Holiday of a Lifetime. The series shows the Strictly Come Dancing judge accompany minor celebrities as they re-live fond memories of times spent at various destinations around the British Isles, and a recent edition featured Crich as part of a trip to Derbyshire.

The episode broadcast on 9th February saw actor Jimi Mistry take Len Goodman for a trip down memory lane to Derbyshire. Len also presented a guide to his own favourite attractions in the region, and selected Crich Tramway Village as his number one. Seemingly his taste in days out makes more sense than his scoring of celebrity dancers!

Trams had already featured once before in the current series, as fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Anton DuBeke relived happy memories from his time spent in Blackpool, which included taking the host for a ride on ‘Princess Alice’ 706 (the segment being filmed last year prior to 706‘s withdrawal). Bryan Lindop also chatted to the pair, providing some welcome extra publicity for the tramway’s heritage operation.
