Tramlink to see more service suspension

Passengers wishing to travel on London Tramlink are set to suffer more disruption with a further service suspension announced for nine days from Wednesday 22nd July. Currently trams are not running between Dundonald Road and Wimbledon to allow for work to take place at Wimbledon Station to allow for an increase in capacity with the extension of the Tramlink platform and now between 22nd July and 31st July there will be no trams between New Addington and Sandilands to allow for rail replacement works in the Addington area.

During this nine day period trams will run:

Line 1: Elmers End to West Croydon

Line 2: Beckenham Junction to West Croydon

Line 3: Dundonald Road to East Croydon

Line 4: Elmers End to Therapia Lane

The work will be undertaken in two phases (22nd-26th July and 27th-31st July) with different replacement bus services being put on during these times. Full details of the bus services being offered can be found on the TfL website at https://tfl.gov.uk/tram/status/?startDate=2015-07-22T00%3a00%3a00&endDate=2015-07-22T23%3a59%3a59#line-lul-tram-1

Trams should resume to New Addington from Saturday 1st August but the Wimbledon works are scheduled to continue until October with Dundonald Road continuing as a terminus up until then.
