Metrolink 3104 & 3041 back in fleet livery

Manchester Metrolink M5000s 3104 and 3041 are now running in standard fleet livery once again with their respective adverts for Monzo and Jean Paul Gaultier having been removed in mid-October 2026.

3104 had originally received its red vinyls for Monzo during August 2026 and now after a couple of months they have been removed.

3104 has carried five adverts over the years, including three during 2026. Its adverts have been Manchester Airport (August-October 2025), Singin’ in the Rain (partial – October-December 2025), MOBO Awards (March 2026), Courvoisier cognac (May-August 2026) and Monzo (August 2026-October 2026).

When 3104 received the Monzo adverts it became the third tramway in the UK to do so. We’ve already seen the vinyls also taken off on the West Midlands Metro but at the time of writing South Yorkshire Supertram 111 is still carrying the advert (this was also the first tram to get them).

Meanwhile, 3041 is also now back in the silver and yellow colours after its Jean Paul Gaultier adverts were removed. These had also been added to the tram in August 2026, but unlike 3104 this was the first ever advert the tram had carried.
