It’s the last Saturday of September and so we have one more photo in “Around the World in Trams” before we move on once again. Milan remains the location.
This is 7003, which was one of 26 ADtranz Eurotrams no. 7001–7026, built in 1999-2002. This particular tram being introduced into service in 2001. While some of the trams remain extant in Milan to this day, 7003 is not so lucky with it being withdrawn in July 2023 and scrapped three years later.
Its shown here at the Duomo terminus of route 15, which at the time was the only route this class of tram ran on.
