Whilst for most the West Midlands Metro is a simple way to get work, school or for a day out, it has played a leading role in people’s lives. As part of a new community initiative – to be known as “Metro Moment” – the Metro are looking to hear from people willing to share their stories of special moments involving the tram network.
Elizabeth Cole, Marketing Manager at West Midlands Metro, explains more: “Whether you met the love of your life while travelling between Wolverhampton and West Bromwich or commuted every day from Bilston to Bull Street for your dream job, we want to hear from you!
“People travel with us for work, education and leisure, and these everyday moments are what really make Metro special. Over the next few months, we will be publishing a series of heartwarming memories that customers have shared with us.
“We’ve already heard from couples who met on the tram and are now getting married, and customers who used the network to explore the region on memorable family days out, but we know there are a lot more tales to tell.”
