1st September 2026 saw the start of a new era on Dublin’s Luas tram network with KeolisAmey Luas becoming the new operator. This comes after over 20 years of Transdev being the operator having run the network since it opened in 2004.
The beginning of the new contract comes after months of preparation and collaboration with staff, stakeholders and the outgoing operator to ensure there has been a seamless transition for passengers during the change.

KeolisAmey Luas is a joint venture between Keolis (one of the world’s leading public transport operators) and Amey (a leading global infrastructure consultancy and operations partner). They will use their years of experience to build on the network’s strong foundations while also looking to introduce improvements to enhance reliability, resilience and the overall customer experience.

Planned initiatives on the network will include enhanced services, the introduction of proven operational and maintenance processes, remote monitoring technology and a programme of improvements across the network.
