The first phase of the summer holiday engineering works on the South Yorkshire Supertram network started on Monday 27th July (almost as soon as an enhanced service for Tramlines came to an end). This will see work taking place over two weeks on Norton Avenue before major works start at the delta junction for the rest of the month of August. Stuart Cooke captured the following photos of early work.
Norton Avenue is on the Herdings Park line and as such it means that up until Friday 7th August no Purple line services are running to Herdings Park. In fact a very limited number of services advertised as Purple line are running, with these mainly being in the evening between Cathedral and Birley Lane.
