The latest special event at the East Anglia Transport Museum was a 1940s Weekend on 18th and 19th July 2026 as they once again pulled out all the stops to entertain the public who paid a visit to the site in Carlton Colville near Lowestoft, Suffolk. Bryan Grint was one of those who visited as seen in these photos.
As with most special events there was a two-tram service in operation and that saw both Amsterdam 474 and London Passenger Transport Board 1858 used on the museum tramway. They were joined by an intensive trolleybus service which had a London theme with 260, 796, and 1201 all out of the depots.
There was also a free bus service around the local area, trade stalls and entertainment on site as there was plenty to see and do once again.

Second tram of the day was Amsterdam 474 which is seen here as the conductor gets ready for a token exchange.

Trolleybus 796 comes round the trolleybus turning circle and passes fellow London Transport trolleybus 260 in the stabling area.
The trolley of 474 is turned as we see trolleybus 1201 head off with a trip around the trolleybus circuit.
