“Around the World in Trams” time again and we’re in Istanbul again.
The below photo shows İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin (IBB) 806 on the curve in Devan Yolo Caddesi. in the vicinity of the intersection with Yerebatan Cadde. This is a T1 line service and the car is well filled with riders. Based on the red paint scheme, this is one of the thirty-seven low floor Alstom Citadis model 304 trams that were ordered in 2007 and put into service during 2011; the acquisition of these cars was used to complete the merger of lines T1 and T2, with T1 being the surviving designation.
