More engineering works in Manchester Metrolink have been announced with two Sundays in April set to alterations on the Ashton-under-Lyne line to allow track repair works to take place.
Dates of work: Sunday 12th and Sunday 26th April
Sunday 12th April
No trams will operate between Piccadilly Gardens and Ashton-under-Lyne
Trams will run every 15 minutes as follows:
- Piccadilly Gardens to Eccles via MediaCityUK
- Bury to Altrincham
- East Didsbury to Rochdale Town Centre via Exchange Square
- Manchester Airport to Victoria
- The Trafford Centre to Deansgate-Castlefield
A replacement bus service will operate between Piccadilly Gardens and Ashton-under-Lyne. This will call at all Metrolink stops with the exception of Etihad Campus; anyone for this stop should use either Velopark or Holt Town.
Sunday 26th April
No trams will operate between Etihad Campus and Ashton-under-Lyne
Trams will run every 15 minutes as follows:
- Etihad Campus to Eccles via MediaCityUK
- Etihad Campus to Altrincham
- Piccadilly to Bury
- East Didsbury to Rochdale Town Centre via Exchange Square
- Manchester Airport to Victoria
- The Trafford Centre to Deansgate-Castlefield
A replacement bus service will operate between Piccadilly Gardens and Etihad Campus. Although it won’t actually be able to service Etihad Campus so its final destination is a mystery and the TfGM website doesn’t say yet!
