Route revealed for Blackpool Full System Tour

Sunday 5th May will see the first (of two planned) Full System Tour’s on the Blackpool Tramway with the tram going places where normal tours don’t go such as crossovers and into Starr Gate Depot. The exact route of this trip has now been announced along with a change of planned tram as it will now be Balloon 717 in charge instead of the previously announced Balloon 723.

The tour will depart from North Pier heritage stop at 1100 and then will run as follows:

North Pier

Hopton Road

Blundell Street (as far as breaker)

Foxhall

Starr Gate through the tram wash

Starr Gate head shunt

Any Depot Road

Depot to Starr Gate platforms

Tower

Pleasure Beach outer loop

Little Bispham via Bispham west track

Cabin via Bispham centre track

Fleetwood Ferry

Via Bispham centre line and Thornton Gate centre line

Fleetwood Ferry outer loop (break)

Fisherman’s Walk

Fleetwood Ferry inner loop

Cleveleys

Thornton Gate

Festival House

The full tour should take around four hours with it planned to be back at North Pier by 1500.
