In Pictures: New advert for Edinburgh Trams 277

The latest new advert on a tram in Edinburgh has been applied to the highest numbered tram in the fleet with 277 the recipient. The advert is for Port of Leith Distillery and is of the “Edinburgh” style rather than being a full vinyl wrap.

277 received these new vinyls in early December with the tram entering service in this condition week commencing 4th December. It features a dark orange background with the two full height sections having a lighter coloured background and images of the new Port of Leith Distillery which has just opened close to Ocean Terminal.

This advert replaces an expired contract for Hard Rock Café – Messi Chicken Sandwich which had been on the tram since August 2023. It becomes the seventh different advert on 277 – its seen adverts for two of the more prolific sponsors on the trams, CR Smith (September 2017-October 2020) and Parabola My Edinburgh Park (October 2020-June 2021). Other ads have been for Edinburgh International Festival (June 2021-July 2022), Hard Rock Café (July-November 2022) and BT Spirit of Scottish Rugby (November 2022-August 2023).
