Expanded Easter service on Birkenhead tramway

The Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society are pleased to confirm that the Birkehead heritage tramway will now be operating daily until Sunday 27th April, for the Easter holiday period. In addition, there will be an Easter Egg hunt taking place between Good Friday (18th April) and Easter Monday (21st April) inclusive, so as to offer a fun day out for all the family.

During this time period trams will be running daily from 1:00pm. On Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, there will be an enhanced service with two different trams operating in service, making this a great time to visit this superb heritage line. Don’t forget that the tramway is now being run entirely by volunteer members of the MTPS, meaning that it needs our support now more than ever – and with Liverpool 245 due to enter service shortly following its extensive restoration, 2014 will hopefully be an excellent year for the tramway.
