FOI request confirms more DLR scrappings

We recently gave an update of DLR fleet changes which included details of some recent scrappings, but that wasn’t a complete list as a FOI request made to Transport for London has confirmed that since the start of August 2025 18 of the redundant units have gone off for scrap.

The list of those which have now been sent for scrapping – which look like they are taking place at Tilbury Docks – has been confirmed as:

31 – 6^th August 2025

80 – 8^th August 2025

55 – 19^th August 2025

03 – 21^st August 2025

52 – 9^th September 2025

35 – 11^th September 2025

22 – 16^th September 2025

91 – 18^th September 2025

95 – 23^rd September 2025

54 – 25^th September 2025

26 – 2^nd October 2025

75 – 8^th October 2025

30 – 14^th October 2025

69 – 16^th October 2025

63 – 28^th October 2025

94 – 30^th October 2025

51 – 4^th November 2025

62 – 6^th November 2025

This FOI request was actioned on 10^th October 2025 so clearly those departures for scrap from 30 onwards were planned and hadn’t actually taken place.

All of these units were officially withdrawn on 21^st July 2025, which was the date the reduced timetable was introduced.
