FOI request confirms more DLR scrappings

We recently gave an update of DLR fleet changes which included details of some recent scrappings, but that wasn’t a complete list as a FOI request made to Transport for London has confirmed that since the start of August 2025 18 of the redundant units have gone off for scrap.

The list of those which have now been sent for scrapping – which look like they are taking place at Tilbury Docks – has been confirmed as:

31 – 6th August 2025

80 – 8th August 2025

55 – 19th August 2025

03 – 21st August 2025

52 – 9th September 2025

35 – 11th September 2025

22 – 16th September 2025

91 – 18th September 2025

95 – 23rd September 2025

54 – 25th September 2025

26 – 2nd October 2025

75 – 8th October 2025

30 – 14th October 2025

69 – 16th October 2025

63 – 28th October 2025

94 – 30th October 2025

51 – 4th November 2025

62 – 6th November 2025

This FOI request was actioned on 10th October 2025 so clearly those departures for scrap from 30 onwards were planned and hadn’t actually taken place.

All of these units were officially withdrawn on 21st July 2025, which was the date the reduced timetable was introduced.
