When it was announced that Barton Dock Road tramstop was to be renamed Trafford Palazzo, the press release made mention that there would be two trams wrapped to promote the shopping and entertainment centre. We quickly saw 3089 out in service but the second tram proved elusive initially but has now been spotted and confirmed as being 3096.
The advert for 3096 is identical to that carried on 3089 and features the standard Trafford Palazzo branding.
Its not the first time that 3096 has carried an advertising wrap, but its been some time it last did! It briefly carried an advert for Vodafone between August and October 2019, towards the end of the phone company having multiple ads as part of their contract to supply on-board onto the trams.
As we welcome a new advert we also saw goodbye to another as 3092 has seen its vinyls for Cuervo Tradicional Tequilla removed. This was another of the brief advertising contracts we see on Metrolink having only been added to the tram in October 2025.
