In this edition of “Trams &” we take a trip to Rotherham.
The terminus of the Supertram Tram-Train route to Rotherham Parkgate is located on a short stub off the national rail line between Rotherham and Leeds. We look towards the simple single platform terminus here where Citylink 399 202 is standing at the stop awaiting departure just as some passengers arrive and go to open the doors.
Meanwhile, on the railway line Northern class 158 DMU 158 909 speeds on by with a service heading towards Leeds. This was built in the early 1990s by BREL Derby and was one of ten units which were leased by the West Yorkshire PTE for services in their region.
