Manchester’s new Bee Network will officially be launching from 24th September 2023 and in preparation for this Metrolink 3079 has received a new advertising livery as it asks you to say “yellow” to the new public transport network in the region as bus services will be under public control for the first time in 40 years.
Often when trams receive a yellow based advertising livery the shades of yellow between the Metrolink yellow and the advert yellow have had a tendency not to match but there is no such problem this time as they do appear to match which makes it look like a seamless livery for a change!
This is the third time that 3079 has come out of standard fleet colours – and all have been since this April! Its first was for Soccer Aid and then in June 2023 it received an advert for Greater Manchester Good Employment Week and now September 2023 sees it in a Bee Network livery.
