Woman suffers serious injuries after being hit by a tram

A woman was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after she was hit by a tram close to St Werburgh’s Road tramstop on Thursday 6^th October. The incident happened at approximately 1235. Whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident and took the woman to hospital for treatment there was disruption for Metrolink services on the lines to East Didsbury and Manchester Airport. The former was completely suspended with services to the Airport starting and ending at Barlow Moor Road.
