Its time to go on another trip “Out and About” and the latest location we visit is the West Midlands Metro.
The opening of the full Birmingham Westside extension on Sunday 17th July (the same date also saw the Bull Street to Library section reopen) has opened up many new photo locations to capture trams in service. One of those is Broad Street, with trams running along the street between Library and Five Ways before heading through the Five Ways underpass. In this photo we see 41, one of the Urbos 100 trams. on Broad Street as it heads a service to Wolverhampton St George’s. (Photograph by Mark Cufflin, 22nd July 2022)
