It is pleasing to report that the external advertisements for the Blackpool Grand Theatre’s 2012 Christmas pantomime carried by Blackpool Flexity 010 have finally been replaced by a more appropriate advert for Crown Carveries.
The ‘Cinderella’ advert vinyls were finally removed earlier this month, some five months after the last performance of this show was staged! After a brief spell of operation without any external advertising on that side, new vinyls have now been applied for Crown Carveries. The vinyls are in the usual positions, featuring a reasonably attractive red and white backdrop. The other side of the tram has remained unchanged, with last year’s adverts for the Stanley Park Café being retained.
010 is the first Flexity2 to receive a new advert contract for quite some time although with some new summer season shows just around the corner, it will be interesting to see if any of these will be promoted on a tram.
