Still Standing! Chorlton Tramway Office

We are off to Greater Manchester again for our latest photo of a first generation tramway structure still in situ today.

Barlow Moor Road today has a Metrolink stop – albeit not one actually on Barlow Moor Road with it located on Mauldeth Road West next to the junction of Barlow Moor Road – but back in first generation tram days in Manchester it was very much on a tram route and there is a building still in place which would have seen trams pass by on a daily basis until abandonment. The old tramway office on Barlow Moor Road was situated next to a two track siding with a shelter and toilets also provided at this location. Today it is still used as offices, but now by the Manchester Diving Group with a bus stop directly outside.
