Extra late-night services on Supertram for Sheffield Adored

South Yorkshire Supertram have announced that they will be running additional late-night services on Sunday 24th May to assist people getting home after the Sheffield Adored Festival which is taking place at Don Valley Bowl.

Emergency overhead line repair works on the Tyne and Wear Metro

There will be no service on the Tyne and Wear Metro between Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th May to allow for emergency overhead line repair works to take place at Benton. The overhead lines need immediate repair work after a dewirement incident earlier in 2026.

An out of court settlement has been reached between the City of Edinburgh Council and DLA Piper over the legal advice the former received during the original tram project. But the terms of the agreement mean that the exact amount won’t be revealed.

Stourbridge MP supports plans for expansion of VLR services in the area

In Pictures: Swinging 60s Weekend at East Anglia Transport Museum

On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2026 the East Anglia Transport Museum returned to the 1960s as their latest special event took place. Included in the event was the usual tram and trolleybus service, plus the East Suffolk Light Railway in operation as well as a free vintage bus service around the local area. Music was also provided by The Austin Beats to really add to the atmosphere of the 60s! Bryan Grint paid a visit on the first day of the event.

NET renew pleas to motorists to be careful around trams

For most of you reading this website it is probably no big surprise to hear that Nottingham Express Transit are renewing their pleas to motorists driving close to the tramway to be careful, especially when you consider the number of trams in Nottingham which have been sidelined for significant periods after being involved in collisions. As part of the latest campaign, NET have also revealed the cost of these collisions – with the largest incident to date having cost more than £500,000.
