British Trams Online is always on the look out for news and photos from tramways across the British Isles. Whether it be a tram being delivered, a new livery or any other piece of news we want to hear from you! All submissions should be sent to gareth@britishtramsonline.co.uk. As well as topical news and photos we are also still seeking archive photos for our Picture in Time series. Thanks to everyone who does send submissions.

British Trams Online at 15 – Loan Trams: Oporto 196
Throughout this series we have seen several trams which have made the trip from Heaton Park to Beamish but in this edition we feature a tram which made the opposite move – Oporto 196.

The only tram in this series to have enjoyed two loan spells with two different identities is Blackpool Ex-Towing Railcoach 280/680.
British Trams Online at 15 – Events: Opening of the upgraded Blackpool Tramway
Wednesday 4th April 2012 was a key milestone for the Blackpool Tramway as that was the day that the upgraded tramway, complete with platforms and modern low floor trams, opened to the public after several years of construction and disruption.

We take a look today at a very popular tram loan, that of Liverpool 762 from Birkenhead to Blackpool in 2010.

Its another anniversary which we feature today, this time we head north east to Beamish at a time when the museum tramway was celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2013.

The second Blackpool Brush Railcoach to have enjoyed an operating loan during the past 15 years is 623, and just like 630 this is also a current loan with it remaining in Blackpool.

Cast your mind back 15 years and Nottingham Express Transit was still under construction with the opening not coming until 2004. Since then we have also seen two extensions constructed and opened.

The very first short-term tram loan at the East Anglia Transport Museum, London County Council 106 made the trip from Crich in July 2016 to play its part at a special London Event at Carlton Colville.
