LRSSB back research to give more guidance to Tram-Train schemes

The Light Rail Safety and Standards Board have provided funding towards academic research that has the aim to provide clear guidance for future Tram-Train schemes as more areas of the country show interest in developing services along these lines.

Metro stained glass artwork back at Monkseaton station

The colourful “Beach and Shipyards” art installation – a stained glass art work – is back in pride of place at Monkseaton Tyne and Wear Metro station following an extensive restoration to take it back to its former glory.
