There are updates to the Birkenhead Heritage Tramway (last operating dates), Blackpool Tramway (last operating dates), Docklands Light Railway (update on withdrawn train status) Edinburgh Trams (new advert and photo links), and West Midlands Metro (trams returned and photo links) Fleet Lists along with the Edinburgh Trams Advert List (new advert and photo link).
With a new book being released this week which looks at the conduit years on the Blackpool Tramway (by Blackpool tram expert Brian Turner) this week our front page photo takes a look at the sole surviving conduit car – 4. Preserved as part of the national collection at Crich, the tram is mainly confined to the Exhibtion Hall but on 12th June 2005 it was let out for a short period of operation (using batteries) and is seen here just leaving Town End for a run along the line.
