Work to get underway this spring to pave way for earlier Eastside extension opening

The Midland Metro Alliance have confirmed that work is to get underway in Moor Street Queensway this April, work which will pave the way for part of the Birmingham Eastside extension to open earlier than it may have done otherwise.

West Midlands Metro drivers to get another 13.5% pay rise

Tram drivers on West Midlands Metro are set to enjoy a pay increase of 13.5% from 1st April 2024 after the successful conclusion of negotiations between Unite the Union and the operator of the tramway.
