In this edition of “Out and About” we are off to the West Midlands Metro in January 2024. This was a milestone trip out for regular British Trams Online contributor, Ken Jones, as it marked the first time he was allowed out onto public transport since having a stroke in late 2023.
In this photo we see 53 which has not long left Wolverhampton Railway Station tramstop. The entrance to the railway station itself is seen on the left.
49 stands at Wolverhampton Railway Station ahead of departing back south to Edgbaston Village.
Then we see 48 arrive at Jewellery Quarter as it heads from Edgbaston Village to Wolverhampton Railway Station. (All Photographs by Ken Jones, 17th January 2024)
