We return to Crich’s Tram Weekend in September 2025 for an alternative selection of photos in this week’s main site update:

Photographs: Crich Tramway Village – Tram Weekend September 2025

This week there are updates this week to the Beamish Tramway (last operated dates and photo links), Crich Tramway Village (photo links), Edinburgh Trams (revised advert), Manchester Metrolink (new advert, advert removed and photo links), South Wales Metro (train delivered from testing) and Tyne and Wear Metro (trains to scrap). There are also updates to the Edinburgh Trams (revised advert) and Manchester Metrolink (new advert, advert removed and photo links) Advert Lists.

We have also updated the Events Diary with details of the first confirmed events of 2026. Including the Isle of Man, East Anglia Transport Museum and Beamish, plus the early season events at Crich and Seaton.

The winner of the British Trams Online Tram (Heritage) of the Year is Manx Electric Railway trailer 50. This vehicle returned to service in July 2025 – just in time for the Transport Festival which also won the Event of the Year – which happened to be its first use since 1978! Completed in a joint project between a team of volunteers and paid staff on the MER the trailer is just the latest to return thanks to this partnership. Completed in the nationalised green and white livery this shot shows 50 at Derby Castle Sheds. (Photograph courtesy of Manx Electric Railway Online)
