This week there are updates this week to the Beamish Tramway (photo links), Blackpool Tramway (photo links), Crich Tramway Village (last operating dates), Docklands Light Railway (trains for scrap), Edinburgh Trams (new advert),Manchester Metrolink (new advert and photo links), Manx Electric Railway (photo links), Seaton Tramway (photo links), South Wales Metro Tram-Train (more tram-trains delivered), Tyne and Wear Metro (trains scrapped and photo links) and Volk’s Electric Railway (photo links) Fleet Lists. There are also updates to the Edinburgh Trams (new advert) and Manchester Metrolink (new advert and photo links) Advert Lists.
Technical issues
Apologies to any of you who have been having issues accessing the News & Features page over the past week or so. It seems to be an intermittent issue and if you persevere you can get on (the error message saying the site is under maintenance is wrong!) but at some times it is taking a long-time to be able to view those pages. We are in dialogue with the hosting company about these issues but at the time of writing there continue to be some issues with access. Thank you for all who are still trying to view the site! Hopefully it will be fixed in due course.
The 55th Anniversary of the Seaton Tramway was marked with a special gala weekend with the aim of if it moves it ran! One of the trams which featured was 4 (based on a Blackpool Boat Car) which is seen in this photo taken on 23rd August 2025 as it arrives at Colyford with a service running from Colyton to Seaton.
