Notes: 34 started off life as a replica of Snaefell Mountain Railway car 7 "Maria", an electric loco built for freight. After a few years use it was stored in 1998 before being moved to Derby Castle in 2003 where a start was made in converting it to a works vehicle for the MER. This was duly completed for it to make appearances in 2004 although its first use was in 2006. It has also been used on the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway, Isle of Man Steam Railway and, of course, the Snaefell Mountain Railway. |
