Since the Citylink Tram-Trains were introduced onto the South Yorkshire Supertram network their availability has often been less than ideal with long periods going without some examples being seen out on the network. 2025 has continued that trend with both 399 206 and 399 207 having been missing in action for prolonged periods. But that changed on 12th August 2025 when 206 was out on driver training as we see in this image taken at Hillsborough showing the Tram-Train (although with the conventional tramway wheel profile meaning it can’t run to Rotherham) coming from the direction of Middlewood.
